Midnight in Theatre 深夜劇團
Set Design | Leetle Stage
On-show: 14 & 15 Jan, 2023
Studio Theatre, Hong Kong Cultural Centre (321 seats) |
The set design focus on two main scenes- a production theatre with funeral setting, and the main character's home with 80s vibe. A movable panel is used to conceal scene elements embedded on either side of the walls.
When the panel is in theatre setting, it revealed a set of curtain which sets a ward, funeral, backlit shadow play, and stage for a stripper scene. When the panel is in home scene, it became a wooden screen and revealed the kitchen. The 2 walls are set at an angle of 150 degrees, in which the travel of panel symbolizes the passing of time from 11pm-4am, when Midnight in Theatre took place. See 1:30 model for panel's travel path. |
1:30 Braille model for visually-impaired audience. Tape with different texture indicates furniture location in 2 main scenes
